N2  - In my thesis I will analyse if impartialreporting is possible. Therefore I will focus on the parliamentary elections for the Bundestag 2013 and take a closer look at the „Stinkefinger“-scandal, in which chancellor candidate Peer Steinbrück was shown on the cover of a newspapers magazin with errect middlefinger. I will discuss what impartial reporting means and what objectivity means for journalism. Furthermore I will describe the historical background and the process of parliamentary elections for the Bundestag. In conclusion I will integrate my results in the analysis of three different articles about the scandal
