N2  - This Bachelor thesis is about “dubbing” in different countries in comparison to dubbing in Germany. It is said that Germany has one of the most developed dubbing, and this thesis shall give an indication on wether this statement is correct or not, including an explanation. Therefore this thesis will include a definition of „dubbing“ itself and a description of the procedures – dubbing, voice over, subtitles and more. Moreover it will be explained how human hearing works so that they are able to receive dubbing. The essential
part of the thesis will be the presentation of the way of “dubbing” in chosen example
countries (Norway, Poland, France, Italy, Japan, India, the USA and Venezuela)
to draw a comparison to Germany. In this context its development from its beginning to the present will be described, focusing Germany.
