For this purpose, different hotel brands are interviewed. The survey results are compared with the state of knowledge, wich is based on scientific literature. By means of the investigation, the question will be answerd whether the hotel industry has grown the social media medium and can install it in the customer retention process. After this extensive analysis, a recommended course of action for the hospitality industry will be given and a conclusion will be drawn with a view for the future.
