N2  - This thesis compares classic tube and solid state amps with their digital simulations. It tries to give an answer to the question, if the digital simulations can sound like their originals and if it is valid to use them as a source of sound instead of a classic guitar amplifier.
The systems were recorded via re-Amping and analyzed with a spetroscope and with a public survey.
