• Die Masterarbeit befasst sich mit der Beteiligung von Menschen mit Behinderung bei politischen Entscheidungsprozessen in der Stadt Chemnitz. Der Autor dieser Arbeit, der seit über zehn Jahren in der Stadt Chemnitz bei einem freigemeinnützigen Träger beschäftigt ist und mit Menschen mit Behinderung für deren Belange aktiv ist, möchte herausfinden, inwieweit Diese an Beteiligungsprozessen partizipieren können. Dafür sprach er mit Politik, Verwaltung, Interessenvertreter:innen von Menschen mit Behinderung und professionell im Feld Tätigen. Ein weiterer Fokus lag darauf, ob sich bei den Vertreter:innen der Stadt ein Bewusstsein identifizieren lassen würde, für die Wichtigkeit der Expertise von Menschen mit Behinderung bei der Weiterentwicklung der Stadt Chemnitz.
• This master's thesis deals with the participation of people with disabilities in political decision-making processes in the city of Chemnitz. The author, who is local to the city, has been employed by a non-profit organization and worked as an active communicator for the needs of the community for the last 10 years, would like to find out to what extent they can participate in decision-making processes. In this context, he interviewed politicians, administration staff, representatives of people with disabilities and professionals in the field. Furthermore, this thesis explores whether the representatives of the city have an awareness of the importance of the expertise of people with disabilities in the ongoing development of the city of Chemnitz.
