- This academic work is about the mythological background used in the first Star Wars Trilogy. It analyses the intention of George Lucas, compares it with the work of mythological Scientists and draws conclusions out of it. The academic work continues with an analysis of the three Star Wars Films and an global backgroundcheck focusing the mythical results. Followed by a short debate on the sucess of Star Wars and it reasons. The academic work concludes, that George Lucas was sucessful in creating a „global myth“ and was fully aware of its potential
