Implementation of the Balanced Scorecard at TÜV Rheinland Bangladesh

  • nicht vohanden
  • Prior literature and managerial practices emphasize the effectiveness of the Balanced Scorecard framework to strengthen the strategic focus in organisations. Still many implementation efforts fail, thus executives are driven to scrutinise the frameworks feasibility for their purposes in advance. The present master thesis discusses the implementation of the Balanced Scorecard for the technical service provider TÜV Rheinland Bangladesh. Hereby a literature review of the frameworks relevance and an environmental analysis of the company serve as the basis for a Balanced Scorecard conception on corporate level. After scrutinising the available reporting structures, further controlling mechanisms and management solutions are suggested. It becomes apparent that a sustainable utilisation as a measurement system demands further automation of the present reporting structures to maintain the organisations operational efficiency. But taking the planned regional expansion and diversification into account, the challenge of a decentralised management arises. Here the Balanced Scorecard can take effect as an overarching communication platform with aligned objectives and initiatives to strengthen the strategic consensus among each level of the organisation. Further implementation-practices are suggested.
