• Ausgehend von der historischen Entwicklung des Dokumentarfilms beleuchtet die vorliegende Arbeit die aktuelle Situation des dokumentarischen Fernsehens in Deutschland. Technische Innovationen verändern stetig Form, Inhalt und Produktionsbedingungen der Dokumentarfilme. Es werden Trends, aber auch Perspektiven und Alternativen der digitalen Filmproduktion, die vor allem das Internet bietet, aufgezeigt. Ausgewählte Aussagen der Presse, Expertenmeinungen und Studienergebnisse sollen einen Überblick über die aktuelle Lage der Dokumentarfilmbranche in Deutschland geben.
• Based on the historical development of the documentary film examines this thesis the current situation of the documentary television in Germany. Technical innovations constantly change the form, content and production conditions of the documentary. Trends but also perspectives and alternatives of digital film production offered by the Internet are pointed out. Selected statements to the press, expert opinions and study results give an overview of the current situation of the documentary filmindustry in Germany.
