Solutions as a solution? : a comparison of regional news broadcasts SAT.1 NRW, WDR aktuell and RTL WEST based on a content analysis regarding to the theoretical approach "Constructive News" by Ulrik Haagerup
- It is noticeable that there is a crisis in news journalism. Recipients criticize a nonceasing negative reporting. For this reason, some journalists are pursuing a constructive approach for some years now, made up of a balanced and solution-oriented reporting, which ideally shows best practice examples. Therefore, this treatise has made it its task to answer the question, which proportion of constructive news are taken in regional TV news. In addition to that, it critically dealt with the question, whether a constructive reporting can really be a future alternative or even a solution.
