The development of noncommercial radio in Germany

  • The media landscape of the present situation is complex and is discussed in a wide range. In our society communication media has an enormous significance, that grows further and further. Some media representatives more than others. Discussions about the death or slowly disappearance of newspapers written on paper or broadcasting out of the radio not computer becoming more and more frequent. Especially niche media such as non-commercial radio are always confronted to prove theirselves and deal in daily business with the sense of existence, financial aspects and so on. The following bachelor thesis deals with the description of the complex thematic of the importance of non-commercial broadcast in Germany. By describing the complexity of non-commercial broadcast and using diverse sources this bachelor thesis shows up the wide range of tasks, difficulties and challenges of this type of media. The two conducted interviews with two invited people provide a close view into the landscape of non-commercial broadcast and leads to a critical conclusion.
