Analysis of sequence variations in the pathogen complex Sphaeropsis sapinea using Oxford Nanopore sequencing
- Die Studie nutzte gängige genetische Loci wie SSU, LSU, ITS, TEF1 und β-Tubulin, um zu untersuchen, welche Regionen des Erregerkomplexes Sphaeropsis sapinea eine zuverlässige Differenzierung der Arten ermöglichen. Ziel war es, durch Amplifikation und Nanopore-Sequenzierung eine geeignete Genregion zu identifizieren. Der TEF1-Locus erwies sich als vielversprechend, während andere Loci allein nicht ausreichend differenzierten.
- This study utilized common genetic loci such as SSU, LSU, ITS, TEF1, and β-tubulin to investigate which regions of the pathogen complex Sphaeropsis sapinea reliably differentiate its species. The objective was to identify a suitable genetic region through amplification and Nanopore sequencing. The TEF1 locus emerged as promising, while other loci alone did not provide sufficient differentiation.
