P-glykoprotein ist ein Vertreter der ABC-Transportproteine. Diese sind in der Lage, den Efflux zytotoxischer Substanzen aus dem Zellinneren zu gewährleisten. Einige Substanzen können das Protein aber auch hemmen, wodurch eine Akkumulation toxischer Substanzen in der Zelle ausgelöst wird (Chemosensitizer-Effekt). In dieser Arbeit wurde der Einfluss umweltrelevanter, synthetischer Duftstoffe auf P-gl ykoprotein des Zebrabärblings (Danio rerio) untersucht. Hierzu wurde rekombinantes P-gl ykoprotein des Zebrabärblings verwendet, das mit dem Baculovirus-System hergestellt wurde. Eine Interaktion der Testsubstanzen mit dem Protein wurde über die Stimulierung, bzw. die Hemmung der stimulierten ATPase-Aktivität des Proteins mittels ATPase-Assay festgestellt.
