In the 1930, during farmer activities in the village Görzig in Saxony-Anhalt, human bones from the era of emigration of nationswere found. From these skeletal remains especially the skulls, should be analyzed by morphognostic and morphometric methods to receive information about age of death and the gender. In the morphognostic part skull attributes, obliteration of the sutures and the teeth status should be analyzed. Morphometric methods should take for abrigment linear and width dimension from the skull. And then especially the manible should be dimensioned. In additon the DNA from teeth were analyzed by using the PowerPlex®S5-Kit, to test, if it is possible to receive autosomal STR profiles of aDNA. The DNA were isolated with the phenol/chloroform-isoamylalcohol method and then amplified. aDNA can be strongly degraded, so the amplification of autosomal STR systems could be challenging
In the 1930, during farmer activities in the village Görzig in Saxony-Anhalt, human bones from the era of emigration of nationswere found. From these skeletal remains especially the, should thigh bone, kneecap, shin bone and fibula bone be analyzed by morphognostic and morphometric methods to receive information about age of death, the sex and the body height. The first step is an overview of the stock of the bone material. The next step is the analysis of age-related changes of the bones. Therefor the intergrowth of the epiphyseal plate is used for the first classification of age on femur, tibia and fibula. Then the age is analyzed on the femur with the help of morphognostic methods. Besides the degenerative changes of femur, patella, tibia and fibula are included in the age esimation. When the age is estimated only adult individuals are used for the following investigations. The sex is determined on the femur by morphognostic and metric. On patella, tibia and fibula the sex determination occurs only by osteometric analyzes. The metric should be evaluated by statistical basic parameters and by discriminant functions of different populations. The body height is reconstructed based on body height estimation formulas of different populations. To determine the body height femur, tibia and fibula should be used.
