This thesis aims to work out some of the critical influences globalisation has on german automotive industrial manufacturers after 2019. Among many socio-economical and tertiary factors, key influences were a strong tendency towards the Chinese market, not only in terms of cost efficiency and production capacity but also in sales. Furthermore, the influence of the pandemic resulted in limited financial capacities and endangerment of the 2030 climate and BEV production goals of the German automotive companies. A comparison between the VW Group and BMW Group resulted in the finding of a link between the vertical range of manufacture and resulting profits de- or increasing, while at the same time being at risk through international incidents, such as the 2020 pandemic, or the rise of international competition and limited restructuring abilities due to climate change politics.
