• Die vorliegende Arbeit beschäftigt sich mit der Entwicklung der Drumcomputer und deren Einfluss auf die Musik. Zuerst wird die Entwicklung dieser Instrumente aufgezeigt, welche dann mit Informationen zu deren Einfluss abgeglichen wird. Die hierfür benötigten Informationen wurden, in Form von Interviews, durch Autoren wie Mark Vail bereits veröffentlicht. Weiterhin zeigt eine vom Autoren durchgeführte empirische Studie die Bedeutung bestimmter Drumcomputer für die heutigen Nutzer auf. Ein zusammenfassendes Fazit mit einem Ausblick in die Zukunft schließen die Arbeit ab.
• This paper deals with the development of the drum machines and their influence on the music. At first the development of these instruments is demonstrated and is then compared with informations on their influence. The required information for this purpose is already published in form of interviews by authors like Mark Vail. Furthermore an emprirical study, conducted by the author, points out the importance of specific drum machines for today users. Finally a summarising conclusion and a outlook on the future complete this paper.
