• Die folgende Arbeit befasst sich mit dem forensischen Informationspotential von Smart Home Security Geräten, in diesem Fall dem Starter-Kit der Firma Ring. Hierfür wurde die Funktionsweise des Systems genauer untersucht und es wurden Manipulationsversuche und Datensicherungen durchgeführt. Diese Manipulationen bezogen sich hier genauer auf die zwei internetfähigen Geräte, die Basisstation und die Kamera. Die Datensicherungen fokussierten sich insbesondere auf den allgemein gesicherten Daten und Hinweisen zu den Manipulationen.
• The following thesis deals with the forensic potential for information that can be gathered from smart home security systems, in this case the ring starter-kit. In order to examine the potential, the system got inspected further. This included the functionality, malicious attacks, and data backups. These attacks focused on the base station and the camera, as these devices use a connection to the internet. The examination of the backups payed special attention to which data was collected in general and if malicious attacks could be proven based on the data.
