Customer loyalty measures for clubs in the first German football league, with the example of Borussia Mönchengladbach in the face of changing external conditions

  • The intention of the work is to investigate customer loyalty processes at professional sports clubs in the first Bundesliga, taking into account the external framework conditions. The analysis of the target groups fans and experts provides information on how the relationship can be better designed and maintained. The focus of the work is the question of which measures for customer loyalty would be most useful in the event of changing external conditions in order to continue to bind the fans to the club. Football clubs in the 1st Bundesliga have been struggling with external framework conditions such as Covid-19 since the beginning of 2020. Using the example of Borussia Mönchengladbach, measures for customer loyalty are to be implemented and re-taken. Customer loyalty is an essential part of the association and must be preserved even in difficult times. The aim of this work is to analyse and identify potential possibilities in order to continue to make the football-free time of the fans positiv. of changing external conditions of changing external conditions
