Analysis and assessment of design thinking as an innovation and working method in requirements engineering
- Design Thinking is a new methology to increase the potential of innovations in organizations and to uncover and meet user needs. In contrast to other approaches, design thinking integrates human, business and technology factors. It is used by designers to solve complex problems and to put a stronger focus on the user experience and on building deep customer empathy. The focus in this paper, which is based on a literature study, is on the characteristics of design thinking and how it can be useful for organizations to support the development of new ideas. The methology design thinking requires many interactions with customers to get a better product or application. In the area of application of software engineering, design thinking can identify customer needs and transform them into requirements for software solutions. During the process of software engineering, design thinking can be used to involve relevant stakeholders to develop innovative and user-friendly solutions.
